Code of Ethics for Scoundrel's Productions
Purpose
At Scoundrel's Productions, we are committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, and creative work environment. This Code of Ethics outlines the principles that guide our actions and decision-making processes.
1. Accountability
All team members, from performers to production staff, are expected to take responsibility for their actions and decisions. We promote a culture of integrity and transparency, where everyone is encouraged to speak up and report unethical behavior without fear of retaliation.
2. Communication and Training
We prioritize open and honest communication at all levels of our organization. Regular training will be provided as needed to ensure that all employees and contractors understand their roles, responsibilities, and the ethical standards expected of them. Feedback is welcomed and encouraged as part of our continuous improvement process.
3. Confidentiality
We respect the privacy of our employees, clients, and partners. All confidential information, whether related to performances, personal data, or business operations, must be protected and only shared with authorized individuals. Breaches of confidentiality will not be tolerated.
4. Consequences
Violations of this Code of Ethics will be addressed promptly and fairly. Disciplinary actions may include warnings, reprimands, termination, or exclusion from future events depending on the severity of the violation. We are committed to enforcing this Code consistently to uphold our values.
5. Harassment and Discrimination
Scoundrel's Productions is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all. Harassment or discrimination of any kind including but not limited to—race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, or disability—will not be tolerated. We encourage individuals to report such behavior to founder and CEO David Bair, and we will take prompt action to investigate and resolve any complaints.
6. Freedom of Expression
The opinions expressed by booked comedians do not necessarily reflect those of Scoundrel's Productions. We strive to create an environment where comedians can freely express themselves and exercise their First Amendment rights. However, if a comedian crosses a line and is offensive to the audience, we will address it on a case-by-case basis to ensure a respectful and enjoyable experience for all.
7. Commitment to Our Values
By adhering to this Code of Ethics, we collectively contribute to a positive, respectful, and empowering culture at Scoundrel's Productions. Together, we can foster an environment where creativity and collaboration thrive.
